We expect much turbulence in the coming year 2020 with the looming trade war and we wishes a softer landing with better ending. Soon Hock symbolizes smooth sailing and a good year ahead and fish means abundant prosperity when translated in Mandarin. The steamed Soon Hock fish and the fish maw soup are expensive dishes. The Chinese nutritionist emphasizes a balance of the yin and yang in culinary presentation and I see the `yin' in the tofu, snail and crab meat and the `yang` in the egg yolk.
